Concepts
Learn the vocabulary used across AgentWorks so every other page reads easily.
This page explains the words you meet in the product, in alphabetical order within each group.
Work
Workspace
Your organisation's space in AgentWorks. People, agents, knowledge, connections and the balance belong to a workspace. Some things are private to you until you share them.
Chat
A conversation with the assistant. A chat remembers its history, can use attached files and knowledge, and can use your connected apps. See Chat overview.
Agent
A saved assistant with its own instructions, model, actions and knowledge. You run it by hand, from a chat, on a Schedule or from a webhook. See Agents.
Workflow
A series of steps in a fixed order, built on a canvas. Steps can run agents, branch on a condition, call actions and wait for a human approval. See Workflows.
Task and board
A task is a work item on the Board. You can assign it to a person or to an agent. See Board.
Schedule
A recurring start time for an agent or a workflow, for example every Monday at 09:00. A run that a schedule starts is a scheduled run. Schedules are available on Business and Enterprise.
What the AI can use
Action
One thing the AI can do in a connected app, such as "Send email" or "Create task". You choose which actions a chat or an agent may use. In a chat, the Capabilities menu also holds built-in abilities such as web search and image generation.
Connection
A link between AgentWorks and an app or a custom MCP server. A connection is either personal (Only me) or shared with the Whole workspace. See Connect apps.
Knowledge base
A collection of documents that the AI searches when it answers. Answers cite the source documents. See Knowledge bases.
Documents
The files you and the assistant create and keep in folders under Knowledge: Word-style documents, spreadsheets and presentations. Unlike a knowledge base, a folder is not indexed. See Documents.
Skills and rules
A skill is a reusable set of instructions the assistant follows for a job. A rule is a guardrail about what the assistant must always or never do. Both can be attached to a chat or an agent.
Memory
Facts an agent has stored so it can use them in later runs. See Knowledge and memory.
Control and cost
Approval
A pause before the AI changes something outside the chat or an agent run. You approve or deny. See Approvals.
Balance and wallet
The euro balance that pays for AI usage. The wallet shows the balance, your limit and the transactions. See Costs.
Plans
Free, Business and Enterprise. A page tells you when a feature needs a higher plan.
