Workflow runs
Follow a workflow run on the canvas, review run history, answer approval steps and stop or fix a run.
Every time a workflow starts, it creates a run. You can watch it live, see what each step did and what it cost, and decide on approval steps.
Run history
Open a workflow and look at its runs. A new workflow shows No runs yet. The list shows each run with its version, status, cost and how long it took, and you can filter by Running, Success, Failed, Rejected, Completed with objections, Cancelled or Pending. Totals above the list show Total runs, Total cost and Avg / run. Test runs carry a Test badge.
Choose Open run to see one run in detail.
Inside a run
The run opens on the canvas, with the Live status while it works. Each node shows its state, and you can select a step to see its output. The header shows the Cost (the sum of all steps) and the time Elapsed.
Each run is pinned to the version that was deployed when it started, so it still shows its own steps even if you changed the workflow later.
Approval steps
When the run reaches an Approval step, it pauses and the step shows an Approval needed card. You see who asked, when it was Requested, when it Expires, and your message. Choose Show context to see the output from earlier steps.
- Approve continues the run. Add a Comment (optional) for the audit trail.
- Edit the output, then Approve with edits, to change what the next steps receive. Edits only count when you approve.
- Reject stops the run, which then shows as Workflow run rejected.
- Reject, continue anyway records your rejection on this step and lets the rest of the run finish. The run then appears as Completed with objections.
Only the named approvers, or people with the chosen roles, can decide; a workspace admin can always step in when approvers are named. If several approvals are needed, the card shows progress and your own decision. Pending approvals also appear in the waiting on you badge on the workflow list and in your notifications.
If an agent step asks a question, the card is titled Question from the workflow. Type under Your answer and choose Submit answer, or Not now to answer later from your notifications.
Stop a run
Choose Stop and confirm. The workflow stops at the next safe point. Steps that already ran are billed and are not refunded.
When a run fails
A failed step shows an error on its node and a banner. Choose Fix in chat to open a chat that already knows which step failed and what the error was, and ask the assistant to help you correct the workflow. You can also choose Ask about this run to ask questions about a run in chat.
Each started run of a deployed workflow counts towards your plan's monthly workflow runs, including failed runs. Test runs in the editor do not count. AI usage inside any run, including test runs, is charged to your balance.
